Luke Taylor started his circus training in 1993 at the Flying Fruit Fly Circus School. After graduating he toured with Lunar Circus in 2000 performing all over Western Australia and remote Aboriginal communities. In 2001, he started the Bachelor of Circus Arts at NICA / Swinburne University honing his skill in Russian bar, juggling and acrobatics.
Upon completion of his degree he was part of various independent circus companies such as throw down and caravan and at all major festivals around the country. He joined Circus Oz in 2007 for their 30th Anniversary show and stayed with the company for 6 years. There where many highlights with Circus Oz like performing on Broadway New York, Edinburgh Fringe and Madrid.
When he left Circus Oz he became a full time Circus instructor at Circus Oz and Nica. In 2014 he joined the physical theatre company Dislocate for their show If These Walls Could Talk, which later got nominated for a Helpman award. In 2015 he also joined the world renowned Chipolatas and has performed with them all over the world. He now lives in Harcourt.
Luke currently teaches our Intermediate Circus group and Adult Juggling.
